Artists at Work - February 2 to 25 2024

The work of making art can be a solitary pursuit but artists want to share their artwork with you.

Juror Paula White Diamond of PWD Gallery and Design Studio in Waterloo is making selections from submissions by local GRACe artists. It is fitting that Paula White Diamond is a professional artist herself!

Thank you so much to Homer Watson House and Gallery, the home of one of the region’s first, working, professional artists, for hosting Artists at Work .

Congratulations to the juror’s choice artists:

Deborah Crow-Repke

Michele Doktor

  • Breathtaking paintings

It all begins with an idea in the mind of the artist. With painting there are so many mediums to explore that the art can take-off in a million directions! Only the artist can bring the idea home.

  • Fascinating sculpture

Forms surround us, designed by engineers, but something different happens when the form is born in the mind of an artist! Are you watching it? Or is it watching you?

    Artwork by Harry Kooy (cropped)

  • Dreamy paperworks

Paper is old technology but in the hands of the artist it is made new again with modern ideas that twist and turn the surface to make new meanings.

  • Remarkable photography

With one thousands words per picture, can you find the story of your life in the eye of the photographer? Sometimes they see what we only wonder about.

  • Surprises await you

Come for opening night for music and drinks, pick up your artist passport and enter to win the grand prize all weekend long!
